Mr Gleam has been shown on a list of employers, who are participating in the Workfare scheme.
We would like to make it very clear that MR GLEAM IS NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE WORKFARE SCHEME AND HAS, AT NO POINT BEEN INVOLVED IN THE SCHEME.
Avanta, who are working on behalf of the DWP (Department of Work & Pensions), have stated that the list is comprised of companies that have been APPROACHED, by themselves, about clients of theirs attending unpaid work trials or seeking full-time employment and is NOT a list of employers who have any personnel on welfare-to-work schemes.
Mr Gleam is a committed local employer and takes its role on fair employment very seriously. Mr Gleam is fully aware of its responsibilities to equal rights at work, non-discrimination and maternity/paternity leave.
We are always looking into ways to improve staff welfare, and have begun, where possible to implement the Living Wage by offering clients two comparative quotes:
One, which takes into account the Living Wage as it encourages happier and more productive staff, and one which accounts for, at least the minimum wage.
We go to great lengths to ensure our staff’s happiness as we believe it creates an excellent working environment which makes work enjoyable and more productive. A result of this is a very low turnover of staff throughout the company.
We are immensely proud of our staff and believe that their happiness at work is reflected in the professional service they provide to all of our customers.
