High Access Cleaning

high-access-cleaning-1

Mr Gleam has the expertise, the experience and the equipment to deal with high access cleaning – cleaning tall buildings from the ground and from special platforms, or by abseiling.

This includes the high access cleaning of:

  • Windows, sills and frames
  • buildings’ exterior
  • guttering
  • fascias
  • girders
  • ductwork.

Our staff

Mr Gleam staff are experienced in working at heights and have been trained in PASMA. This means they are qualified to safely erect towers and stands to enable us to work safely at heights.

Staff are also trained in Health and Safety law and on the correct use of high access cleaning equipment.

Our equipment

At Mr Gleam we not only have the expertise, but also have the equipment to handle multi-storey buildings and other tall constructions.

High access cleaning requires specialist, quality equipment. We own our own tools and equipment, which means our clients don’t end up paying more to cover hire charges.

We use the following methods for high access cleaning:

1. Reach and wash

high-access-cleaning-2

For general high-access cleaning from the ground we use our fully-equipped special window cleaning vehicle with dual built-in water pumps. The vehicle enables two operatives to work simultaneously, speeding up the job and reducing manpower hours to provide clients with the best value.

2. Hydraulic Platforms (Mobile Elevated Working Platforms)

Where buildings are too tall for the reach and wash system and not tall enough to warrant abseiling, we use our own hydraulic platforms, also called cherry pickers, MEWPs or spider lifts. These special platforms are also used to gain access to hard-to-reach areas such as overhangs.

3. Abseiling

For very tall buildings and towers, we have staff trained in abseiling.

4. Aluminium towers

high-access-cleaning-5

Used for external and internal windows and atriums, aluminium towers removes the need to use spider lifts which are generally used for large scale, costly jobs and eliminates the dangers of using ladders. Our staff with a PASMA qualification are fully trained in erecting aluminium towers.

5. Fall arrest systems (harness work)

For buildings with ‘eye bolts’ we use harnesses to gain access to the exterior of the building, usually to clean windows which are able to open. Once attached to eye bolts, our staff clean using traditional methods.

Health and Safety

Regardless of the size of the job, we always apply the same levels of professionalism and safety. For high access cleaning work we make sure all our staff are compliant with ‘working at height’ regulations.
